Published: 22 Sep 2008: Travelzoo has chosen Holger Bartel as its new chief executive officer, effective October 1, 2008.
The companys current CEO, Ralph Bartel, will continue to serve as chairman of the board.
Holger Bartel was responsible for Travelzoos operations in North America from 2001 to 2007. He served as the companys executive vice president from 2001 and served as vice president of sales and marketing from 1999.
He has served as a member of the board of directors of Travelzoo since June 2005.
On the appointment of his brother as the CEO, Ralph Bartel, CEO, Travelzoo, said, "(Holgers) His deep operational experience in sales, content, marketing and production combined with his strategy background as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company make him a first-rate candidate for the CEO position."
