MAS, Alitalia enter into partnership

KUALA LUMPUR, Apr,9 – Malaysia Airlines (MAS) and Alitalia inked a codeshare agreement last Thursday that will enable both airlines to access each other’s networks between Malaysia and Australia and the southern part of Europe.Starting June 1 Alitalia will have access to MAS’ seat inventory for flights between Kuala Lumpur and Rome and Kuala Lumpur and Penang.Alitalia’s passengers will also be able to travel from Malaysia to MAS’ Australian gateways of Melbourne, Sydney and Perth.MAS customers will have the option of services to Alitalia’s Italian destinations from Rome and Milan, and to Barcelona, Athens, Geneva, Frankfurt and Madrid in southern Europe.
